Do not be fooled by the awesome voices. The author did not make them. This app uses a voice synthesis that the author has put into a totally buggy, and poorly usable app. It has the poorest user interface which makes it impossible to use for a non-technical user. I litterally have to put the files up on a webserver, browse to them in a browser with no bookmarking that is slow and often crashs the app. Then you have to break any files up which means that the socalled easy to import feature with Gutenberg.org wont work for many books that are not broken up on Gutenbergs site. The extent of integration with gutenberg is to make it the home page on the browser. Then, even for tech-head like me who can get past the lame obstacles that the terrible user interface presents, the killer is that auto-lock stops the voice. After 3.0 firmware even a plugged in iPhone/iPod will autolock, so you have keep unlocking to keep listening. This is a development flaw on the part of the Author not the iPhone OS, since a talented programmer could have gotten around autolocking issues like other apps have. I could write a dissertation on terrible usability on this app alone.

It should have: ability to jump to text without bookmarks, FTP or WebDAV file upload from your computer, ability to run while locked, and a general overhaul of the apps appearance.

I am a user experience specialist. Trust me when I tell you that you will waste your money buying this app since its fatal flaws make impossible to use. The worst thing about it is that author does not respond to complaints and seems to have abandoned the app and left it on the store to pad his pockets. DO NOT ENRICH THIS HACK DEVELOPER BY BUYING THIS APP!
